“Thanks to The Wilderness Society, those wild places I hold so dear are protected.“
- Wilderness Society Member Betty White
Dear Wayne,
I was only four years old the first time we rode into the High Sierras, on the front of my dad's saddle. But I remember it like it was yesterday.
There’s nothing like nature. You get out there and the moment you experience it, and take a deep breath down to your toes, it sorts out all of your priorities.
That’s why I care so much about protecting the wild.
And why I am delighted to ask you to join me in giving generously to The Wilderness Society.
As a gesture of thanks and as a token of our collective commitment to protecting wilderness for all time, my friends at The Wilderness Society have created a series of beautiful limited edition symbolic “landholders’ certificates.” With each donation, you will have the option of downloading one certificate from one of America’s most iconic wild places: Denali, Yosemite, Yellowstone, the Grand Canyon or Shenandoah.
For more than 75 years, The Wilderness Society has been at the forefront of efforts to protect the wild, from the snowy vastness of Alaska to Florida’s steamy everglades. The Wilderness Society’s talented folks understand that in exchange for the privilege of enjoying the wild, we have an obligation to help protect it, for our children and our children’s children.
Thanks to The Wilderness Society, those wild places I hold so dear are protected.
Being out in nature is for me just as important as food, water, and air to breathe. I get out in wild places, and things just make more sense. Don’t you feel that way?
Please, give generously during this season of giving. And thank you for all you do to preserve our natural splendor.
Sincerely,
Betty White
