It should be noted that the Chicago Board of Elections (CBOE) did nothing although complaints were filed with their hotline.

The end result was after a FOIA was filed with the CBOE, it was discovered that the complaints were never recorded.

For several years Wayne Strnad had suggested that the CBOE record all complaints to a database so that there is a physical record of the violation(s) that occur.  The CBOE has yet to do anything in this regard.

The State of Illinois, State Board of Elections, is just as useless in doing anything about violations.

Might it be that one of the lawyers who works for Mayer Brown, the same law firm that handled Mayor Daley’s Campaign Disclosure, is a member of the Board?
