Seasonal Laborer Hand Crushed - exposed by Wayne Strnad on behalf of community and business concerns
Although the Department of Streets and Sanitation had a training program, nobody seemed to know anything about it. Apparently, when you start asking questions pertaining to the details of a line item in a budget, answers are hushed up or flatly denied a response. This administration is quick to squelch any information that the taxpayers pay for when they think that something might not be in order. In fact, Wayne Strnad believes that any time he submits a FOIA, the administrators intentionally deny it because they know he probably found something and wants the proof to show the community and business alike.
Shortly after a FOIA request was put in for information about the training programs, a man who was not trained in dumpster dumping had his hand crushed. He was at a location called the Habilitative Systems, Inc., located at 415 S. Kilpatrick. They are allegedly associated with a former alderman who was indicted and served time in jail - it was Isaac "Ike" Carothers daddy.
How does the old saying go? Like father, like son. Although "The apple does not fall far from the tree" sounds a little better.
