It started several years back shortly after Daley returned to the "motherland" of his ancestry and visited a city in England called London.

In London there are cameras all over the place that are used, in part, for tracking purposes. Tracking people, vehicles and whatever else the people who run the cameras are told to track.

Daley then got the idea to put a camera at busy intersections and done so under the guise of catching traffic violations. This, I feel, is the prelude to cameras on every street corner.

What's wrong with cameras all over the place? This is America - home of the free. It is allegedly a Free and Open Society whereby people can enjoy each others company on a street without any tracking mechanism, such as a camera, looking down on them and recording the event. The 1st Amendment to the United States Constitution guarantees the right of free association.

It's not a two-way street either meaning that you, as an individual, cannot record anything that a government (local muncipality such as Chicago) agency does. For example, the CAPS program in the 25th District violates the Open Meetings Act every meeting they have in the District. You cannot record the meeting in any manner.

Questions arise that lead to violations of our inalienable rights and privacy issues that have long been fought for over the last 50 years.
